1842 Liberty Seated Half Dollar AU50

Tripled date. The first of two reverse dies married to the tripled date obverse. A late state, with a notable retained cud below HALF DOL and a tiny rim cud barely visible above AM. The details barely make AU50, but the eye appeal is that of a much higher grade. Lightly toned gold surfaces are fully prooflike. Apparently the dies were polished near the time this coin was minted. Great eye appeal!
